Why support our foundation? High blood pressure affects more than 30% of the adult population in Switzerland and 60 to 70% of people over the age of 60. It is therefore a common problem that increases the risk of developing cardiac, cerebral, renal, and vascular complications. Today, less than 50% of Swiss people with hypertension are receiving appropriate treatment, and in 80% of cases, we do not know why people have hypertension. It is therefore crucial to support hypertension research to improve patient care and, at the same time, our understanding of the mechanisms responsible for hypertension.
