Why should you support our Foundation ? Arterial hypertension affects more than 30% of Swiss adults and 60 to% of persons older than 60 years are hypertensive. Thus, hypertension is a frequent problem which is known to increase the risk of cardiac, cerebral, renal and vascular complications. Today, less than 50% of treated hypertensive patients are well controlled under treatment and in 80% of cases we do not know why these people are hypertensive. Therefore it is crucial to support research programs in hypertension in order to improve the patients’ management and to increase our knowledge on the mechanisms leading to the development of hypertension.
